So here's how things stand. That workload I've mentioned before is ongoing but chronic health problems that have left me with steadily worsening anemia mean I have little energy for, well, anything. Having spent most of the last 48 hours asleep I can say not to expect any new videos for awhile. I have been grinding as the energy to concentrate is available and I think I can team almost all the characters requested but Musashi and Domingo just aren't able to kill anything without tons of help. 6xp per action means a lot of actions per level. It also seems that Max and Adam have largely reached the ends of their growth tables. Gong and Khris are on healing duty right now and it's shaping up to be a mana-intensive stage.

Edit from the FUTURE: It's been awhile since I started grinding away for this, hasn't it? Well, to make a long story short I tried and tried and tried to work with Domingo but he just has nothing to offer. He still doesn't have a level 4 direct damage spell and with everything at least 50% resistant to fire and ice the level 3 spells he does have do little more then scratch their targets. Musashi has fared better. He's no powerhouse but he can contribute. Domingo, however, has been kicked to the bench.
Anyway the real point of this edit is to say that I have recorded the first half of the fight against Darksol. If all goes well (or, well, acceptable, really which means that half the team doesn't get gibbed) I should finish the game before the year is over.
2nd edit from the FUTURE: So I defeated Darksol only to find myself largely stonewalled by Dark Dragon. I have no way of curing poison and everything in the battle can poison when it hits you. It's a minor nuisance in the grand scheme of things but one that doesn't help when your battle plan involves lots of just barely surviving when things hit you. I think I've had 6 or 7 restarts so far just because the game has put Torasu in attack range of a Blue Dragon on the first turn and he sometimes gets double-attacked. Oh yeah and not to mention when Dark Dragon crit-nukes Earnest early on. I had one attempt go almost 25 minutes and killed the right head but losing Earnest meant the team attacking the left head got into a protracted battle and were whittled down. Then the main team started attacking DD's main head and Max promptly got killed and the attempt was over.
It's looking unlikely that there will be new videos before the year is over.
