Dragon Quest XI

I haven't finished this game yet but I have been playing it off and on for the last month. The plot has been hit or miss thus far and the difficulty curve has definitely leaned towards lenient (perhaps even easy). I may have to try a second run using the Draconian settings to get a fuller assessment of the difficulty curve. I will say that a willingness to make gear ahead of time specifically to resist the game's many status effects can make a big difference.

Hey if the game's gonna let me completely change a character's gear load-out in the middle of battle I'm going to use it! Doesn't even make the character lose a turn.

Overall I've been enjoying it. Even when the plot has been stupid I've been entertained by laughing and making snarky comments.
