I've updated my notes in the previous post on this subject - with the same usual caveats that my notes are chiefly shorthand and subject to change as I get a better understanding of what's going on. Anyway, enough talk. Let's have some pictures!

Transforming Armer into the enemy ruler classes is largely functional. He doesn't inherit their stats but possibly (I haven't tested this) gains their stat growth. UPDATE: Nope, these classes can't gain experience and their stats won't change even if I change their levels manually. These classes are considered monsters for all intents and purposes, cannot search or use the inventory in any way, and know no spells of their own.

They can also be hacked into the hirable units list. They do cost mana but the value is so high it causes a rollover. For example hiring Velonese here put Armer at 502 current MP. This will also show their starting stats because all new units must enter play at level 1.
EDIT: It turns out Velonese is already level 1 when you first fight him. Velonese also cannot gain experience, even when under AI control, because his experience required per level is 0.

The game also has functional goat battle scene graphics but since these are determined by the unit's class index they end up unused. They're not loaded when a unit is transformed into a goat, nor if they are attacked or sacrificed while transformed. In the second screenshot above Armer is attacking. The animation isn't finished and it pulls data that ultimately results in the game crashing. Their ouchy animation when under attack is finished and works just fine.
