Yay I broke 15k today! I was really hoping I would. Ok so it's technically 1:30 a.m. right now but my "today" is basically the time between getting up and going to bed so I don't really care.
Did I add even more dialogue? Yep. There was one scene of talking that isn't all that important but I think it shows some characterization and a later one that is very important because it moves along a major plot point for the early novel. By the end of it I broke down and the two main characters started cracking jokes. That's ok though the story so far hasn't been very comedic. I don't want it to devolve into total nonsense so I keep my instinct for snide jabs in check.
I'm not at all happy with trying to post large excerpts here on livejournal. A paragraph or two is fine but any more then that and the formatting garbage drives me crazy. To remedy this I've been putting together an html version that should be easy to read. It will be up as soon as I'm done with the current chapter - don't want to cut off right in the middle - which will almost certainly be tomorrow.
