It's already summertime here in the States and oh boy has it been rough already. I live in the Midwest which means that every time a storm rolls in I've got to keep an eye on the weather for reports of tornados. This year is shaping up to be pretty nasty for them. On top of that all the rain has brought flooding in the lowlands.
Let's just hope it's nowhere near as spectacular as the flood of '93.
Anyway, enough with boring real life stuff! Today I recorded more footage for Dark Seal. Yes, I am still technically on vacation from YouTube but I had some time today and decided to tackle collecting video. Unfortunately CamStudio hit the 80k frame limit I don't like to go over at the beginning of the final stage and MAME32 doesn't support save states for Dark Seal so that means that I'll have to play through the game again to finish.
I can blaze through most of the game fairly quickly but I haven't found any good strategy for killing the Lich quickly. That's just a slow, painful battle that's a little less painful if you engage with speed boots and wear it down as much as possible before your inevitable demise.
YouTube has unveiled a video annotation system that supposedly allows you to add a text layer to your videos that can be independently toggled on and off. Thats sounds promising so, yeah, I'll have to play around with that.
