Well I've got alot of characters to interview and probably not enough time to do one a day but I will get through as many as I can by November 1st. Today we sit down and chat with Lucias Maximillian Wright, a young man twenty years of age who agreed to talk with me in between classes.
What is your name? Does it mean anything special?
My name is Lucias Wright and I am the son of the Wright family as you might have guessed. You would do well to keep that fact in mind during this interview. My father is an important man in the government and our corporation produces many of the things the citizens of this planet require. I have only agreed to this interview because the school thinks it would help me build character.
Who are your parents? How have they treated you?
Do you really have to ask such banal questions? My lineage is a matter of public record. My father is the Minister of Science Adam Wright and my mother Nora works in our company as an administrator. They have treated me as well as any parents I guess. I’ve wanted for nothing.
Do you carry any resentments towards your family?
I only resent the fact that my grandfather didn’t have the spine to run for Governor. Since then we’ve had a line of half-wits running Etol into the ground. They’ve wasted time and money building things the planet doesn’t need like tourist traps and neglecting the fact that most of the planet is still unexplored. Let’s not even get into the sad state of the planet’s defenses. What will we do if Sulian terrorists decide to take up residence here? What, will Governor Lan send out the EDF, who can barely tie their own shoelaces, to stumble around blindly until they get lucky and catch someone?
Ehem, moving right along. Next question please.
Where do you live? Do you like it there? Why, or why not?
I live in Montblanc and of course I love it there. What kind of fool do you take me for? I can attend school with all the comforts of home and have my personal staff on hand. Montblanc is one of the most beautiful cities of Etol. It is surrounded by lushly forested hills that make it perfect for hiking. I was born in the city and will probably die there.
What level of education have you received? Do you possess special training or talents that you’d like to share?
I am currently enrolled in the University of Montblanc as a freshman but prior to that my education came via private tutelage. I am studying accounting and business administration so that when the time comes Astro Light will be well led. As far as special training goes I can have my secretary fax you a copy of my resumè and references. We don’t have time to go through everything right now.
What kind of habits do you indulge in on a daily basis?
A daily cup of tea is a must-have. I simply cannot think clearly without it. I also catch up on the daily news of government and business each morning before class.
What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
The knowledge that one day I will lead Etol to a glorious new position in the system. Next question please madam.
How do you handle stress?
Stress is nothing to me. I was helping Mother arbitrate contract disputes at eight years old. I’ve been in courts, commitee meetings, boardroom squabbles, and much worse. Ordinary men crumble in the face of adversity. I am certainly not ordinary.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
In graduate school. I do not “hope” to be there. I will be there and will be happy to participate in another interview with you at that time.
Any last thoughts?
Many, but I think most would be beyond my authority to state at the moment. If that is all I must be going madam I do have things to tend to.

Six months into the war I managed to catch up with Lucias and put the following questions to him.
How have things changed since our last meeting?
Life is more chaotic now. I have precious little time for my schoolwork as my father needs my assistance now more then ever to manage our company and protect what is rightfully ours. Where once I read and studied I now train and condition myself.
Montblanc is so busy these days. There aren’t any more tourists gawking about but the military has built a large base there and of course Astro Light has several facilities to advance the war effort. Fighting is taking it’s toll on the forest. It pains me to see it withering away in places where the Hylin have used chemical weapons.
How have you handled these changes?
Like everything else I do, madam, with great patience and persistence.
What do you think of the Akutenshi? Have they impacted you directly?
The Akutenshi are the future of Etol. The civilization that built them was too stupid to use them wisely and so they have waited until those worthy of their power came along. I am the fire of Dugurose. I will crush anyone who threatens me.
Do you belong to a Tenshi team? What is your opinion about all the fighting?
Yes, I am the leader of the Rotenstiegen. I am of the opinion that the Operators have badly bungled everything they’ve ever laid eyes on, particularly the Akutenshi in their employ. The Rotenstiegen will have nothing to do with them.
Governor Xao Lan believes that Etol is the last stronghold of humanity. Do you agree or disagree with that sentiment and what do you think should be done about it?
I have seen no evidence that Sulis or Thray have survived. In six months not a single communication has reached us from them. They are dead. The sooner the people of Etol come to grips with this notion the sooner we can discard silly notions of rescue and honor and get down to the business of eradicting the aliens who would destroy us.
There have been many theories about why the Hylin invaded. Do you agree with any of them and why or why not?
I don’t care why they attacked us. They did. For that I will see them exterminated.
Do you hold out any hope that Earth has survived the war?
No, I do not. Etol is my home. Why should I care about a planet billions of light years away that I’ve never laid eyes on?
