Young Mr. Carson wasn't easy to track down as part of his school interview. He was checked out at the time to assist his siblings in a frontier bounty. Eventually we caught up to the party as they were preparing for the night and were able to complete the assignment as requested.
What is your name? Does it mean anything special?
I am Baudelo Carson and I don’t think my name means anything special. It’s just what my father thought would fit when I was born. If it does mean anything my parents haven’t told me.
Who are your parents? How have they treated you?
My parents are Jackie and Sam Carson. They used to work for the justice department of Eastminster up until my dad got caught up in some trouble. Now they do freelance work. I suppose I’ve had a pretty normal life so far all things considered. I may be the youngest in my family but I’ve never been babied.
Do you carry any resentments towards your family?
I want them to know that I support them one hundred percent. They don’t have to feel like they’re carrying dead weight around when I’m out on a capture with them.
Where do you live? Do you like it there? Why, or why not?
I’ve lived my whole life in the west end of Eastminster. It gets damn cold during the winter but, yeah, I like it here. I can go down to the port and watch the ships come in or head out into the brush when I feel like it and rough it up for a few days. Every year the expeditions heading north have to stop here for supplies and it’s interesting talking to those guys and seeing what new gadgets and gizmos they’ve got for the trip.
What level of education have you received? Do you possess special training or talents that you’d like to share?
I’m in a private school right now. Before that I did some public education then Mom thought it would be best to do homeschooling until I could take entrance exams. As far as talents go, no, nothing really to share.
What kind of habits do you indulge in on a daily basis?
*subject laughs* I eat too much junk food!
What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
An alarm clock.
How do you handle stress?
I read when I get stressed. That’s what libraries are for.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
You know, I don’t really know. I guess I’ll still be in school somewhere but I haven’t thought about it much.
Any last thoughts?
Hmm, I just want to add that my parents have always been law-abiding citizens and I hope that eventually people in the media and the community will learn to forget about past accusations.

Baudelo was with his teammates when we met up with them at the 6 month mark. Here is how he answered things.
How have things changed since our last meeting?
I’ve changed schools. Well, I guess that would be a misnomer wouldn’t it? I don’t attend class as regularly as I used to. These days I have physical training every day and instruction with the others in the afternoon when it’s not raining cats and dogs on us.
*Asanaga whispers something to Baudelo at this point but it was inaudible*
Yeah, that too. *he addresses the interview again*
I’ve made all these friends in the last few months and they’ve helped me get through the rough patches.
How have you handled these changes?
I honestly don’t know. I just put one foot in front of the other and keep walking. If I slow down a swift boot goes right up my ass to get me moving again.
What do you think of the Akutenshi? Have they impacted you directly?
As a Tenshi avatar yes their existence has changed my life. Morvo is ever patient with me. He takes my mistakes in stride. As for the other Tenshi, well, I want to say that they are inherently good but I’ve seen the good and the bad. For every time Shuval laughs, Warden cracks a joke, or Salon gives one of her little speeches Daemos has shown how cruel the Tenshi can be. I don’t understand how the other Rotenstiegen tolerate him.
Do you belong to a Tenshi team? What is your opinion about all the fighting?
Well I’m sitting as part of the alliance team so I guess that makes me one of them. I fight because it is necessary. Because there are those who must be protected.
Governor Xao Lan believes that Etol is the last stronghold of humanity. Do you agree or disagree with that sentiment and what do you think should be done about it?
My pragmatic side agrees with him. No communication and no sign has come from Sulis or Thray. The logical conclusion is that they have been wiped out. However I see the hopeful looks in the eyes of my team around me and wonder why more Hylin haven’t attacked this planet if the rest of the system has been subdued.
There have been many theories about why the Hylin invaded. Do you agree with any of them and why or why not?
I am just as clueless as the rest of my friends here. I think we’ve heard every crazy theory under the sun about the Hylin but until there’s some proof I can’t say one way or another.
Do you hold out any hope that Earth has survived the war?
It was taught as scientific fact in my school that Earth has already been destroyed. I don’t have enough hope to go around thinking that maybe it’s holding out when all the evidence at hand indicates otherwise.
