Hiya, I’m Aaron Walsh. It doesn’t mean anything special. Trust me, I checked.
Who are your parents? How have they treated you?
My parents are Michael and Janet Walsh. They’re pretty average, mundane people who decided to chuck their dreams for hope and prosperity out the window because my mom got knocked up. I kid but some days they make me wonder if there isn’t a kernel of truth in that sentiment.
Do you carry any resentments towards your family?
I was just kidding about that whole knocked up thing. I don’t hate my parents or anything. My extended family, however, can kiss my ass. Jerkwads.
Would you care to elaborate?
No. I’d be here all day if I did that. Suffice it to say that one of my uncles did something very bad and I’ll never forgive him for it.
Where do you live? Do you like it there? Why, or why not?
I live in Edington. It’s busy enough for me I suppose. There’s plenty of work for my folks so I can’t complain too much.
What level of education have you received? Do you possess special training or talents that you’d like to share?
I’m in high school what kind of special training do you expect me to have? I have a talent for getting into trouble and running my mouth at bad times.
What kind of habits do you indulge in on a daily basis?
The only answer is: See above.
What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
Well I can’t very well just stay in bed. My parents get up before dawn to go to work and I have school so if I want to be fed and all that I’ve got to drag my sorry ass out of bed and do it myself.
How do you handle stress?
I crack jokes. If you can’t laugh at it things aren’t bad enough.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
Knowing this town if my legs aren’t broken I’ll be roped into a dead end job masquerading as a career path. Said dead end job will probably entail traveling to distant locations and placing myself in mortal danger so others can reap the glory.

Aaron sat to one side for most of the group interview muttering to himself now and again. It wasn’t until his turn came up that he joined his friends.
How have things changed since our last meeting?
I still crack jokes at bad times so obviously my humor hasn’t improved one bit but otherwise I’ve grown up just a tad. Things were rough for the family for awhile. My parents weren’t sure about their work situation and I disappeared on them in all the commotion.
How have you handled these changes?
Things are definitely different now I will grant you that. I’ve argued with every single member of my team at least once. My dad isn’t happy that I’ve been forced to join the military but Mom seems to think it’s a necessary evil. I lie somewhere in the middle. All this crazy stuff going on and you’d think I’d take it a little more seriously.
Don’t let the smile fool you. I take my job very seriously.
What do you think of the Akutenshi? Have they impacted you directly?
Hell yes they’ve directly affected me. One minute I’m running for my life from a bunch of aliens and the next thing I know this giant machine beast thing is reaching for me. First I was terrified, then I realized my Tenshi couldn’t do anything without me and I was like “oh really.” It all went downhill from there.
Do you belong to a Tenshi team? What is your opinion about all the fighting?
Jackal and I have had this argument sooo many times over whether we’re in the alliance or not. For the time being I’m saying we are alliance members.
Oh wait there was a second part of that question wasn’t there? What do I think about all the fighting? Hmm, well Lucias is an ass but he does get results. I wouldn’t trust the man with my life but as long as he stays on his side of the planet things will be fine.
Governor Xao Lan believes that Etol is the last stronghold of humanity. Do you agree or disagree with that sentiment and what do you think should be done about it?
This is one thing I don’t genuinely have an opinion on. It’s possible either way. For the time being it doesn’t affect us at all so I don’t see any pressing reason to find out what happened to the other planets.
