I went ahead and added a new album over on photobucket just for Space Griffon. You can find it here.
All of these images were ripped from the game's files using a TIM extractor and then converted into GIF format in photoshop. They are otherwise EXACTLY how they appear in the game's data files. There's a sub-folder for all the item graphics as well. I'll be uploading some additional images over the next few days as I decide what's relevant to add to the pile.
Interesting entries include:
This is a list of all the weapons useable by KID throughout the game. This file is used in the equipment screen so the player can swap weapons around and view their statistics. All entries have been confirmed to exist and are obtainable.
You might notice multiple spelling errors in this file. For example Mark Smiley's last name is listed here as Smilmly. Jim Billington is erroneously listed as Jim Vilington. Reproduce is spelled as Reprnoduce. None of these errors are ever displayed in game. Along with the System Test and machine classifications I'm betting this file is related to a debug system used during development. This is also the first mention of Eurotec Light anywhere with this game.
The question then becomes is a debug menu still functional and accessible somehow? It would be interesting to goof off with.
This file (which still has space at the bottom for a few additional entries) lists almost all of the foes KID runs into throughout the game. It's function is to provide access to the Griffon's database as the game progresses. However, not every enemy listed here had a database page made and so some never have their names displayed to the player. Since the list is still grouped by category and I know where those start and stop I can speculate on what some of the 'hidden' entries are.
As Heavy Turret sits at the end of the Guard Robot section it is either the defense turrets protecting the Guard Robot Control System or the floating turrets exclusive to level 6. Just a quick note before I continue, the GRCS itself is nowhere to be seen here nor are any of the various incarnations of the main monster. The Heavy Turret is listed under Guard Arms in the Guard System section so I'm leaning towards it being the four turrets that protect the GRCS.
The Clawse and VF-7 Wyvern sit at the end of the manned mech section. As there is only one other VF opponent in the entire game besides KID's Griffon and that's the final boss it seems obvious what the VF-7 Wyvern is. A Clawse is likely the enemy powered armor.
Now the Brigandine is probably the auto-noid that dual-wields shields and attacks with twin vulcans or rocket launchers mounted on the machine's shoulders. This enemy has a body type that is similar but distinct from Barmail and Hauberks. I threw it in with Barmail in the walkthrough as it seemed like the closest relative.
The list gets rounded out with the Pauldron. The only remaining unknown machine enemy are the floating drones that accompany Cuilboils at the end of the game. If the Heavy Turrets are the GRCS's special defenders then the Pauldrons are probably the aforementioned drones.
