I've been slacking today so I haven't gotten much written. I've hit a scene where a powerful and important character has to be introduced without giving too much away about who he really is and with the main characters misinterpreting him. Then a new chapter starts with another mysterious figure coming into focus that I'm not looking forward to writing.
In fact so far there are more mysterious people then identified ones. Pretty much everyone has something going on behind the scenes. I'm being extremely careful in how things are worded which is slowing me down right now but it can't be helped.
A word count will probably be up sometime after midnight along with that excerpt page - even if it's not 100% where I'd like it to be.
