This is a short post to say I'm taking a two week break from posting Beyond the Beyond. Things have been a bit hectic in meatspace and I want some time to work on finishing up that last nagging post for Seth. There's some other stuff I've been working on in the past week too.
The Dark Wizard savestate hacking post needs a big edit that is past due. I started to do some work figuring out what the ruler command stats do but I quickly got sidetracked by script dumping. I have tables to read text in town (in RAM and on the disc) and some events scripts but a table (or tables) to read the rest of the text in the game continues to elude me. WindHex isn't letting me dump text out of disc files but I it will work from RAM so I've been slowly doing that.
I uploaded an updated Shining Force 2 hack patch to Mediafire since the old patch link vanished along with my Viddler account. The archive should include a Read Me that has instructions on how to patch a game using this mod.
