This should be updated again later tonight as I've still got a half-finished hand written page to count that needs to be finished and some more that I want to add to the current scene. All day today I've been wracking my brain on how to get my main characters out of the pickle I spontaneously put them in: I put Janet under house arrest.
For reasons that should be obvious to anyone who read the first chapter of my excerpt that means both the main characters are now stuck. At least I just introduced a 6" tall talking mouse-thing that they get to discuss plot points with. Go, go, lots of dialogue.
Might I add that this little rodent is quite verbose?
